Despite cutbacks at municipal and county parks, Sacramento is ranked second nationally in a new park-ranking system.

San Francisco, Sacramento, Boston and New York rank as the nation’s top city park systems. Mesa, Louisville, Charlotte and Fresno received the lowest scores.
