Searchers will resume their work on the American River Monday, looking for the body of a swimmer last seen on Sunday.

Witnesses called 911 after they saw the man go under the water near Howe Avenue and never resurface.

Firefighters used boats and a helicopter to search for the man where he was last seen, while his friends watched from the shore.
